(Anh ta luôn khiêm tốn về những thành tựu của mình). Đứng sau động từ “to be”: -Your hands are still dirty. (Tay anh vẫn còn bẩn.) - Sau trợ động từ: I have never been abroad. (Tôi chưa bao giờ ra nước ngoài.) You should always check your oil before starting. (Bạn nên luôn luôn kiểm tra dầu nhớt trước khi khởi hành.) We have often been there. (Chúng tôi đã từng đến đó luôn.) 2.Đứng trước động từ thường: -I continually have to remind him of his family. (Tôi phải liên tục nhắc anh ta nhớ đến gia đình.) -He sometimes writes to me. (Thỉnh thoảng anh ta có viết thư cho tôi.) -My father never eats meat. (Cha tôi chẳng bao giờ ăn thịt.) 3.Đứng giữa trợ động từ và động từ chính -I have never been abroad. (Tôi chưa bao giờ ra nước ngoài.) -You should always check your oil before starting. (Bạn luôn luôn nên kiểm tra dầu nhớt trước khi khởi hành.) E.Các trạng từ chỉ tần suất (trừ always, hardly, ever và never) còn có thể xuất hiện ở đầu câu và cuối câu. Vị trí đứng đầu câu được dùng với mục đích nhấn mạnh. -The teacher usually gives us an assignment. -The teacher gives us an assignment usually.
