In the past, Vietnamese people used to make traditional sticky rice cakes on Tet holiday. Several days before Tet, we used to buy all the necessary ingredients, and then gathered to make and cook the cakes. It took up to 10 or even 12 hours to make the cakes. Today, as people become busier and services more convenient, they prefer to buy the cakes instead of making them. We also used to spend the three Tet days visiting friends and relatives.
