Aims -Giúp HS hiểu được động từ TOBE ở thì hiện tại thường. -Cuối bài, học sinh có thể áp dụng lý thuyết để làm bài tập. II.Teaching aids: white board. III.Content: PERIOD 1: Content T&SS’activities I. GRAMMAR:(15’) -T set the scene and give the model *Model sentences: sentences/Sts listen. I am a student. -Read in chorus/ He is Nam. Individually. We are fine. -T explains about TOBE/Sts listen and copy. *Form: +form a. Câu khẳng định.= The positive form +mean I + am =I’m + tên riêng / tính từ /danh từ. +notes He / She / It + is =’s (nếu số it thì có mạo từ “a / an or the”) You / We / They + are =’re b. Câu nghi vấn ( Đưa tobe lên trước chủ ngữ) Are + you / they / (we) ? Yes, I am/we/they are . No,I/we/they+ be + not Is + he / she / it ? Yes, he / she/it is. No,he / she / it is not. - Wh-questions: How (old) + be + S?, What + be + your/his name(s)? c. Câu phủ định. ( thêm ‘not’ sau động từ tobe) I + am not + tên riêng / tính từ / danh từ (nếu số it He / She / It + is not thì có mạo từ “a /an or the”) You / We / They + are not Notes: -Dạng viết tắt: I am = I’m He is=he’s

Sau tobe là N/ADJ/NAME. - Dùng trong các tình huống sau: giới thiệu bản thân, hỏi tên người nào đó, hỏi thăm sức khỏe, hỏi về tuổi tác. Cách phát âm: Cách phát âm các danh từ tận cùng bằng s, es. Chữ s được phát âm là /s/ khi danh từ cso các âm tận cùng là: k, f, p, t, th. /s/: Books , streets . Chữ s được phát âm là /iz/ khi các danh từ có tận cùng là chữ cái: s, x, sh, ch, ce, ge, z. / iz/: Couches , kisses, taxes, classes sentences watches. Chữ s được phát âm /z/; loại trừ 2 trường hợp nói trên thì còn lại: /z/: plays, teachers, rulers, Chú ý: khi es được thêm vào các danh từ có tận cùng là phụ âm + y ta phát âm es là /z/ /z/: City cities ; story stories ; family families II.EXERCISE:

Ex: What is this? It’s a book. What is that? It’s an eraser. 3. Động từ To Be trong câu “What are these/ those?”: - Ta dùng câu hỏi “What are these/ those?” để hỏi về nhiều vật hoặc đồ vật. - Câu trả lời được bắt đầu là: They’re + N số nhiều - Danh từ số nhiều là danh từ được thêm “s” vào tận cùng. - Tuy nhiên, ta phải thêm “es” khi các danh từ có chữ cái tận cùng là: ch, sh, x, s, o, z. Ex: What are these? They’re books. What are those? They’re couches. 4. Động từ To Be trong câu “There is/ There are ”: There is + a/ an + N (in singular). There are + N (in plural). * Khi muốn chuyển các câu trên sang câu hỏi ta đem động từ To Be ra đầu câu. Ex: There is a book on the table. Is there a book on the table?
