1. SPEAKING TOPICS - ENGLISH 7 SECOND TERM Good morning/afternoon, my dear teachers. My name is I am years old and I am a student in class in Vinh Thanh Town Secondary School. I am very sociable, humorous and helpful. My topic is number 1, talk about Now I would like to start my topic. (sociable= outgoing: hòa đồng, humorous: vui tính, helpful: hay giúp ích, reserved=shy: e thẹn, active: năng động, careful: cẩn thận, ) TOPIC 1: TALK ABOUT THE TRAFFIC PROBLEM IN YOUR CITY Can Tho is a famous city where I live now. Although Can Tho city is very beautiful and big, it still has some serious traffic problems. Firstly, there are too many people using the road and there are also too many vehicles. So the roads are always crowded, especially in rush hours and the traffic jams appear almost everywhere in the city. That is very hard for us to move. Secondly, the roads are very narrow and we can see a lot of bumpy roads. People often get troubles and danger when they have to pass such roads. There are accidents every day and many are serious ones. Lastly, People don’t often obey the traffic rules. They ride too fast and carelessly. Besides, young people are bad road users because they ride their bikes and motorbikes dangerously. As a result, people often suffer bad accidents and get stuck in the traffic jams. To avoid these serious traffic problems, we should obey the traffic rules, wear helmets when riding and should not often use the roads in rush hours. That’s the end of my topic. Thanks for listening. TOPIC 2: TALK ABOUT YOUR FAVORITE FILM There are a lot of interesting and famous films such as Skyfall, Titanic, You got mail, Wait and See, and so on. But my favorite film is Doremon. It is a Japanese cartoon series about a robot cat named Doremon who comes back from the future to help a lazy and clumsy boy called Nobita and his friends. Doremon always has various kinds of special iterms. It stars Doremon and Nobita and his friends. Although it is a cartoon series with a lot of short stories, I can get a lot moral lessons of how to be a good student, a good friend and a good child, too. I think Doremon cartoon is a must-see for every kid and even the adults. That’s the end of my topic. Thanks for listening. TOPIC 3: TALK ABOUT THE FESTIVAL YOU LIKE BEST People around the world celebrate a lot of festivals such as La Tomatino in Spain, Diwali in India, Cheese Rolling in Britain, Water festival in Thailand and Laos, and so on. I myself enjoy the cow-racing in Chau Doc, An Giang. It is a traditional activity of The Khmer people during Dolta Festival in October. In this festival, the cow owners have their pairs of cows race with others’. You can see how skillful the cow-racers are and there sometimes strange situations that make you laugh all the time. It is an interesting festival which attracts a lots of tourists including foreigners. I think you should join the festival to feel the great scene there. That’s the end of my topic. TOPIC 4: TALK ABOUT THE WAYS TO SAVE ENERGY Nowadays peole have a high living standard and they have lots of appliances such as TV, computer, laptop, smart phone, Ipad, cooker, electric stove, dishwasher, washing machine, motorbike and so on. That use too much energy which is lack now. We should save energy by such useful ways. Firstly, we should reduce the electricity, gas and water bills by turning off the lights the fans and the fauces after use. Secondly, we should use low energy light bulbs and open the windows to get fresh air and sunlight. Lastly, we should avoid using cars or motorbikes for short trips, and use public transport as well. In short, we should be aware of what we do to save energy. That’s the end of my topic. Thanks for listening. TOPIC 5: TALK ABOUT THE FUTURE MEANS OF TRANSPORT In the future, there will be many types of good vehicles such as pilotless plane, driverless car, high-speed train, metro, solar-powered bus, wind-powered ship and so on. But I think flying cars will be the most common mean of transport. Firstly, flying car will be absolutely safe because it has a sky safety system. It will stop everyone form crashing and help to avoid traffic jams, too. Secondly, it will use solar and hydro power which is very green to the environment. We will no longer have polluted air. Finally, flying cars will be very cheap so every one will be able to buy one. It will also be easy to drive for even a kid. For these reasons, I believe that flying cars will be use everywhere.
