SO, TOO, EITHER, NEITHER: a. SO, TOO: ( cũng vậy) :được sử dụng trong câu khẳng định.“So”đứng ở đầu câu; “too” đứng ở cuối câu. Ex: Hoa is hungry. I am, too So am I. b. EITHER, NEITHER: (cũng không): được sử dụng trong câu phủ định. “Neither” đứng ở đầu câu; “either” đứng ở cuối câu. Ex: Hoa isn’t hungry. I am not, either. Neither am I. 3. ADJECTIVES AND ADVERBS: a) Adj + ly adv: beautiful - beautifully ; quick – quickly ; safe - safely ; bad- badly b) Adj 2 âm tiết kết thúc bằng “ y” chuyển sang trạng từ phải đổi “ y” “ ily”: easy- easily, happy-happily c) Adj kết thúc = “ ble” chuyển thành “ bly”: sensible - sensibly; simple- simply, comfortable - comfortably d) Một số Adj chuyển sang adv không đổi: fast- fast; hard – hard; late –late; early – early e) Đặc biệt: good – well * Cách chuyển câu: ADJ → ADV S + is/ am / are + a / an + adj + N chỉ người S + are + adj + Nchỉ người(s) S + V/ Vs / Ves + adv. Dùng để diễn tả lời khuyên. c. must ; mustn’t: - Must: phải, ắt hẳn là . Được dùng để diễn tả sự bắt buộc hay suy đoán. - Mustn’t : không được . Dùng để diễn tả sự cấm đoán. 5. like:thích/ prefer: thích hơn ❖ Like + to V : diễn tả sở thích mang tính tạm thời Ex: It’s too hot today. I like to swim. (hôm nay trời nóng quá. Tôi thích đi bơi) ❖ Like + V.ing : diễn tả sở thích mang tính lâu dài, vĩnh cữu. Ex: She likes watching cartoons. ( Cô ấy thích xem phim hoạt hình.) ❖ prefer to = like better than : thích hơn I like watching TV better than listening to music. I prefer watching TV to listening to music. 6. Many / much / a lot of/ a little / a few many: nhiều a few: 1 ít, 1 vài many + Ns (DT đếm được số nhiều) a few + Ns (DT đếm được số ít) much : nhiều a little: 1 ít , 1 chút much + N (DT không đếm được) a little + N (DT không đếm được số ít) a lot of = lots of: nhiều a lot of + N (DT không đếm được/ DT đếm được) 7.
