Moreover, reading these books makes me feel comfortable and relaxed after a hard-working day in my university. Sometimes, I share my hobby with my best friends or my parents. I should do more exercise and take outdoor activities to improve my health. I should also eat more fruit, vegetables and eat less junk food. besides I have to play less computer games and shorten my online time. I think I will have a good health in the future. I live in An Thanh Village. It is not a very rich neighborhood, so there are a lot of poor people who need to be helped. They live in very old houses and don’t have enough food to eat and don’t have enough warm clothes to wear. They have to work hard to earn only a little money a day. Their life is so pity, so their children can’t go to school. My friends and I have made a plan to raise money for those poor people. We are collecting old clothes for them, too. Besides, we also give lessons to the poor children 3 times a week and at weekend. We hope to help them overcome such hard periods and they will be able to have a better life in the future. Everybody. What kinds of foods do you like? My favourite food is Pho. Pho is the most popular food among the population and it plays an importance thing in the spirit of Vietnamese people, especially the people who live in Ha Noi. Anyone feels hungry in a short time in the morning can also enjoy a bowl of hot and spicy Pho to fill their empty stomach. Have many Pho but there are two main kind of Pho: Pho with beef and Pho with chicken. The ingredients of Pho are rice noodles and broth which is generally made by simmering bones, fried steak charred onion and spices, it takes several hours to prepare. When people eat Pho they can add some kind of thing such as chilli, pepper, I love Pho very much so I can eat it everyday without boring. I'm sure that you do it, too. This is an old village in the south of Can Tho City, including Binh Thuy, An Thoi, Long Tuyen and Long Hoa . The village is a destination that attracts many tourists not only
4. because of its beautifully natural scenery, but also the cultural relics that remains after hundreds of years. The architecture and culture in Long Tuyen is very unique because it is the combination of various cultures from Western to Eastern, including Chinese, French, American, Cham and Japanese. This place also possesses six of 18 national relics in Can Tho, including famous locations such as Binh Thuy Temple, Nam Nha Pagoda or Binh Thuy Old House. Moreover, the Ky Yen Festival takes place here. It can be said that Long Tuy village is a rare destination that contains various typical characteristics of the culture in this region, and for sure it is a pity if you miss this destination in your travel. There are many kinds of music available on tapes including everything: rock, pop, dance Sometime I go to shopping with my friends and my relative. We often go to the supermarket example : Big C, Vincom, Metro Sometime I go to the zoo, park but my favourite entertainment is collection stamp. I collection stamp when I 15 year old. Most people who are going to do professional work must have additional formal education beyond the high school level. The amount of time needed for with their education varies according to me the profession for with they are preparing themselves. They must go to colleges and universities to became an engineer, a architect, a lawyer a professor, a science. I opinion an interesting job it to be helpful to ourselves, our families, our country and the society. We will be able to choose a career that suits us best and to lead a happy and useful life. As for my career: I would like to become a businessman. I will travel to foreign countries to transact business, visit various places of interest, contact with all kinds of people and have chances to communicate with them in English. (Những thuận lợi và khó khăn của cuộc sống trong một thành phố lớn) As we know, living in a big city is supplied move facilities than anywhere else. However, there are advantages and disadvantages of living in a big city. First, I think living in a big city dwellers are provided a lot of society services, such as health care, education, good job and they have much chance to contact or work with foreigners, residents can easily travel fast, thanks to good infrastructure. In addition that, social services help life be easy and comfortable. On the other hand, people living in a big city have to suffer from many disadvantages : smoke rising from factories and all kinds of vehicle on the streets makes environment

Tell about your mother: There are four people in my family: my father, my mother, my little brother and me. My mother is the person I love most in my family. Her name’s Hòa. She is forty-three years old. She is a primary school principal. She is not very beautiful, but there is something attractive about her. Her face is oval with big black eyes and red lips, which are always smiling. She has long black hair, a slim build and a fair complexion. Her character is admirable. She is very sweet and kind to her husband and children. She never gets angry with anyone. As a simple person, she does not like wearing expensive clothes and jewels. She is very busy with her teaching from early morning until late at night. I love my mother very much. I miss her a lot when I am away from her for a long time. When I am free, I help my mother with the washing, cooking and errands. I always obey and respect my mother and try to study hard to please her. I wish she would live with me forever. He is very busy with his work from early morning until late at night. But he try to spare much time for his family. He is not only handsome but also smart. Especially, he smiles a lot and when he laughs he makes me laugh too. He always makes everyone laugh by his funny stories. He is very friendly with everybody. He never gets angry with anyone. We are both Manchester United fans. We love everything relate to MU. We usually watch and comment about MU matches. It helps us to understand each other better, and makes us happier. He always gives me advice as well as money when I run into trouble. I’m so proud of him and love him so much!! Topic 13. Tell about your best friend: Everyone of us has at least one best friend. Me too, my best friend is a friend who studied in high school with me. At that time, I was very bad at English, and it was him helped me improve my English. His name is Dương, he is not only handsome but also smart. Especially, he smiles a lot and when he laughs he makes me laugh too. We studied in high school together. We went to school together everyday. May be, we are together on every activities. Even that we skipped class to play billiards, play Age of Empire game together. Although we played game very much, but we was still study very well, because we helped each other in study and never forget to do exercise at school. We get along very well. He understands me and me too. We have a lot of the same characters. May be those thing made some misunderstanding between him and me. But all things had solved. Now, we are studying at University, and often get in touch together. Indeed, I enjoy him very much. Topic 14. Tell about your weekdays: My name’s Hải. I’m very happy to introduce my weekdays. I’m a student so I’m very busy with my studies. I usually get up at about half past five in the morning. I never get out of bed after 6 o’clock in the morning except Sunday. Then I brush my teeth and wash my face. I have breakfast with milks or bread. After that I go to university. I often go to university on
9. foot. I leave my house at half past six and come my class at quarter to seven. My lesson starts at quarter to seven and finish at half past eleven in the morning. Then I come back my house and cook lunch. I’ve a quick nap after lunch. I get up at about two o’clock in the afternoon. Then I do my homework. I go to market at about half past five in the afternoon. After that I cook dinner. I’ve dinner at six o’clock in the evening. I go to English Club, after dinner. And I com back house at half past eight in the evening. Then I do my homework. At about half past eleven I go to bed. I fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow. In my free time, I usually listen to music, read books, watch TV or learn English. Tell about your favourite thing: My favourite subject is English. It is not surprise that my favourite thing is my dictionary. It is very important to me. I like to look up words in my dictionary. My mother decided to buy that dictionary 3 years ago. It is a gift which my mother gave me in my birthday. My mother bought it in Tiền Phong bookshop. Although it isn't new and beautiful, but I really like it. I like the blue color. It's clear, fantastic and comfortable. I can use it very easily. It has got many words. It helps me to check meaning of vocabulary words and pronunciation. It consists of good structures and clear examples. Sometimes, I feel interested in idioms in it. I always bring my dictionary to my class. So I make progress in learning English. I love my dictionary! Topic 16. Tell about a famous person: There are many famous people in the world. One of them is Lionel Andrés Messi. He was born on June 24, 1987 in the city of Rosario, Argentina. Everyone knows him now as the best football player in the world. In fact, a lot of people say he might become the greatest player ever. He also helped his club team Barcelona win the European Champions League and the World Club Championship. Messi grew up playing football. He joined his first club when he was five. Messi started breaking records as soon as he played his first game for Barcelona. He became the
10. youngest footballer ever to play a La Liga game and the youngest to score a goal. He helped his team win the league in his first season. Messi has an amazing career ahead of him. He is set to shine in South Africa. Many football experts compare him to the legendary Pele and Maradona. This World Cup could be the stage for him to show people he really is the best. His skills on the ball, ability to get past defenders and his goal-scoring are breathtaking. Top soccer coach Arsene Wenger said Messi is “like a PlayStation. He takes advantage of every mistake teams make”. He is my football idol! Topic 17. Tell about life in Vietnam: Most Vietnamese people live in houses. Most house have gardens. But in the city centre most people live in tenements not houses. Most office workers go to work from seven o’clock to eleven o’clock in the morning. They have lunch with their family. They usually have short nap after lunch. Then they go to work at about two o’clock and finish at five o’clock in the afternoon. They come back home and have dinner in their house after work. Children go to school at about quarter to seven and finish at eleven o’clock in the morning. After school, they come back home and have lunch with their parents. In the afternoon, children go to school at about two o’clock and finish at about half past five. Children start primary school when they are six years old and leave high school when they are eighteen years old. Shops open at about seven o’clock in the morning and close at about six o’clock in the evening. Normally, they don’t close for lunch. Most shops open on a Sunday, too. Markets and supermarkets close at about nine o’clock in the evening, but most pubs and restaurants close at about eleven o’clock in the evening. At the weekend, Most people often visit relations or go to the picnic. Vietnam is a beautiful country and Vietnamese people are not only friendly and lovely but they also are very intelligent and hard working. I love life in Vietnam!
