TRỌNG TÂM NGỮ PHÁP TIẾNG ANH THPT 1 Một số tính từ chỉ cám giác (adjectives of emotion) có thể có một mệnh để theo sau: “That-clause” bổ sung nghĩa cho adjective; mang nghĩa “rằng, là, mà” chỉ cảm xúc hoặc sự chắc chắn. Tính từ thường được theo sau bởi that clause gồm: afraid, angry, bad, certain, disappointed, glad, grateful, happy, helpful, hopeful, important, lucky, pleased, possible, sad, sorry, sure, thankful, true, wrong, important (quan trọng). essential (thiết yếu), necessary (cần thiết), urgent (khẩn cấp), imperative (khẩn cấp) + Một số động từ thường được theo sau bởi that clause: advised (được khuyên khuyên), suggested (đề nghị), recommended (được giới thiệu) Ví dụ: - We’re glad (that) everyone came back home safely. [Chúng tôi vui vì mọi người trở về nhà an toàn.] - I'm afraid (that) the matter isn’t approved. [Tôi e rằng vấn đề không được chấp thuận.] - It is essential that he study hard. [Điều thiết yếu là cậu ấy phải học chăm chỉ]. Một số ví dụ khác: - That’s wonderful. Ví dụ: - They can’t go out because it’s very cold outside. [Họ không thể đi chơi vì bên ngoài trời quá lạnh.] - Now that he has a bike, he doesn’t walk to work any more.
